Before You Sell — Do These Three Things

• Back it up. Photos, contacts, messages, authenticator apps. Once it is wiped it is gone.
• Sign out and factory reset. On an iPhone, turn off Find My and sign out of iCloud first — a device still linked to your Apple ID cannot be resold and is worth far less. On Android, remove your Google account.
• Take the SIM and any memory card out. Easy to forget, annoying to get back.
